NIAGARA, Wisconsin—February 19, 2016—“Relatively Prime,” an exciting podcast that features stories from the mathematical domain, announced a Kickstarter campaign for a third season. On the same campaign, which was labeled as a Kickstarter “Project We Love,” the mathematics podcast announced they will also be “going monthly.” Meaning, audiences will be getting twelve new episodes of “Relatively Prime” once a month starting March 31, just one month after the final episode of season two. So, fans of the show will no longer have to wait around for episodes, but instead, be assured of great mathematical content, on the last Thursday for the next twelve months, if this campaign is successfully funded.

These upcoming episodes will feature new, wonderful mathematical stories such as “How do you design a lottery to fairly distribute licenses to marijuana dispensaries?” and “Did an act of mathematical vandalism help liberate algebra from the shackles of arithmetic?” More stories are featured on the campaign page. Not only has the scheduled changed, but creator Samuel Hansen has announced he will be working with some new collaborators. For instance, he will be working with Anna Haensch and Annie Rorem from “The Other Half” podcast to help bring a greater diversity of voices and stories to the show.

“Relatively Prime” is a small show with huge ambitions, and season three is by far the most ambitious so far. Plus, with this podcast comes a purpose. Hansen wants to try to change the public’s opinion about mathematics. Most people, shrug off or even say they despise math, and he believes that this podcast will allow him to share his passion for it. So, please help them tell these wonderful mathematical stories by supporting their Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $24,000 by March 11, 2016.
