Fine Jewelry From Austin Designer Now On Permanent Display At GIA Museum

March 07, 2016 – – The fine works of Austin jewelry designer Zoltan David are now on display in a permanent collection at the GIA museum. Nine pieces from the Nancy Feinstein collection and an additional 2 international award winning pieces are featured. This collection is unique in its position as the only permanent collection by a single jewelry designer. The exhibition has proven to be so popular that those who want to see it have to make reservations in advance.

The works of Zoltan David are not to be missed in this beautiful and inspiring museum. The Gemological Institute of America is the undisputed global leader in gemological sciences and identification as well as being in the forefront of industry education in jewelry arts and business.

Zoltan David’s pioneering jewelry techniques and designs have been recognized by the global jewelry industry with over 2 dozen awards in his 44 year career. He has been awarded Jewelry Designer of the Year in 1994 and 2005, recognized as one of the top 100 most influential designers in the past 30 years by National Jeweler Magazine, and he was the first to receive both the New Designer of the Year Award and the New Design Talent Completion in the history of the New York International Jewelry Show.

He has also been awarded international and National awards in every major jewelry category: Platinum Design, Gold Design, Silver Design, Pearl Design, Colored Gemstone Design, Diamond Design and Alternative Metals Design. Interestingly enough, he also won first place in Jewelry Store Design, and as Zoltan likes to say, “inspiring design can take many forms.”

His reputation for innovative and original works of high jewelry springs from his years long training with Swiss and German master goldsmiths and his passion for beauty. Zoltan David celebrated his 35th Anniversary as a brand last year. He has elevated fine jewelry to not only equal, but surpass some of the most renowned brands of Europe.
