Phyllom BioProducts and Plant Products to Reclaim Lawns and Sports Fields from Grubs and Beetles

OAKLAND, CA and LEAMINGTON, ON / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2016 / Plant Products and Phyllom BioProducts are teaming up to reclaim lawns and sports fields from grubs and beetles. The companies will submit grubGONE!® and beetleGONE!® for Canadian registration in 2016, with an anticipated launch in 2017.

Across Canada grubs and beetles feed on roots and foliage of plants. Raccoons and skunks then damage lawns and sports fields by digging up the white larvae. In 2009, Ontario implemented a ban on common lawn care products. Other Provinces soon followed. Ontario continues to allows certain types of products (Class 11 ) which are considered of low risk. Phyllom and Plant Products anticipate that grubGONE! and beetleGONE! ; providing a needed solution for the pro turf and ornamental manager. In fact, Ag Canada and Ontario have encouraged Phyllom to seek a Canadian registration.

These insect controls are already registered in the USA:

grubGONE!: Control of turf, ornamental grubs and beetles including the annual bluegrass weevil*

beetleGONE!: Control of Japanese beetle* on roses
