GTA Wireless Launches TapUSB Tap on/off USB power switch Crowdfunding Campaign
Michael Wen life hacker and inventor from Toronto, Ontario, Canada recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for his latest product TapUSB touch on/off USB power switch. He has developed TapUSB to be an interchangeable touch switch as a better and much easier alternative of pulling out the cable or the conventional flip switches.
There has been a surge of USB powered devices, especially USB LED devices, in the recent years, the market is full of different devices, gadgets, tools and toys that all use the USB ports for power. However, most of these do not come with a built in switch, which makes their use somewhat inconvenient. GTA Wireless wanted to resolve this problem by developing an interchangeable, easy to use and reliable switch that can be used by plugging TapUSB between the USB power port and the USB device.
Mike said: “It all began when I fell in love with USB powered LED bulbs/lights/lamps in early 2015, I saw how cheap LED lights had become when I was browsing Amazon and eBay, some are selling for less than $1. So I bought a bunch of different USB bulbs, lamps and night lights. However, Most of USB LED bulbs/lights/lamps do not have a built-in switch, it is not convenient to plug in and pull out all the time. Finally, I decided to design one myself.”
The “TapUSB Tap on/off USB power” switch project is currently in need of funding, therefore, GTAWireless has taken the initiative to launch a crowdfunding campaign on one of the most popular crowdfunding platforms Kickstarter.
The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use. A majority of the funding will be assigned to developing an easy to use, reliable and functional device, funds will also be used to market TapUSB to a large target market. A variety of different rewards and perks are also being offered to prize the generosity of those who support the campaign and the project through their monetary contributions.
