The wedding chapel used to be inside the famous Riviera Hotel & Casino until it was purchased by the City of Las Vegas for its Convention Center and subsequently closed down. This caused the wedding chapel owners to seek a new venue to continue to provide wedding services. Those still searching for the famous Riviera Wedding Chapel which was featured in movies such as: Austin Powers-International Man of Mystery, Sexual Roulette, Girls Nite Out, Vegas Vacation, Blow, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 3000 Miles to Graceland, and more may be surprised when finding out the chapel inside the Riviera is no longer there. After the owners found a suitable new venue, the Riviera Wedding Chapel was rename to Plaza Hotel Wedding Chapel and Florist. It has been relocated to the Plaza Hotel where it has been beautifully redesigned as a venue to serve for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
