Construction Accident Lawyer Comments On Worker Rescued Near Airline Center

May 29, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently made a statement about the rescue of a construction worker at an American Airlines Center in Dallas. Moverman said that as these incidents keep occurring across the U.S., more needs to be done to protect workers’ safety.

According to NBC, the worker was injured near the American Airlines Center in Uptown Dallas. Firefighters were called to perform a technical rescue at the site. NBC did not elaborate on the extent of the man’s injuries but stated that the rescue took place near a large multi-story building that was being constructed on the corner of Houston and Payne streets.

In non-fatal incidents, common injuries have often included brain injuries, fractured or broken bones and spinal injuries. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2014, 933 construction related accidents in the U.S resulted in death. That number steadily increased since 2011 when the total was at 781 fatalities. There are several different ways construction workers can be injured on the job. Among the most frequent are slips, trips and falls, scaffolding accidents, and falls from ladders.
