Construction Accident Lawyer Wishes Quick Recovery To Tennessee Construction Accident Victim

May 30, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman stated this week that he is wishing a full and speedy recovery to a Tennessee man who was injured by a forklift while on the job. Moverman noted that as these incidents continue, more must be done to protect workers from the risks of injury while on the job.

The man had been working at the Cottages of Willowbrook in Murfreesboro when he was hit by a beam that was being lifted by a forklift. The man then fell from the second story of a home that was under construction, according to ABC2. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment but his condition was not immediately known.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), there are about 2.3 million construction workers in the U.S. at any given time and more than 20 percent of all work-related fatalities in 2013 were employed in the construction industry. Among the most common ways workers have been injured on the job are slips, trips and falls, scaffolding accidents and ladder falls. Many incidents have resulted in injuries such as broken or fractured bones, brain injuries, and spinal injuries.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman is currently offering free consultations to parties who have been injured in a construction accident.
