Construction Accident Lawyer In New York Remarks On Workers Injuries

The man was seriously injured when he fell down a shaft. His fall was a full five stories and when he landed he was impaled on a steel rebar below. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where doctors declared that he was in critical condition.

An investigation into the accident by the Department of Buildings found that the man was not wearing safety equipment when he fell. It was also determined that the steel rebar did not have caps which would have prevented the impalement. At this time, the contractor has been fined $1,000 for having unsafe hoisting equipment and another $1,500 for not fixing the issue.
