Louisville KY Awards Center Notices Rise In Demand For Trophies And Plaques Honoring Muhammad Ali

June 20, 2016 – – After the recent death of boxing legend and political and social activist Muhammad Ali, Louisville, Kentucky awards company Awards Center has noticed a significant increase in demand for products that depict ‘The Greatest’. Louisville is the hometown of Muhammad Ali and residents have been paying their respects to the late boxer since his recent passing away at age 74, stating that he represented the greatness of Louisville. In fact, it is believed that most of the trophies Louisville KY residents require will soon make some reference to the Champ.

Louisville residents have been congregating outside Ali’s house, mourning the loss of their hero. His boyhood home, found on Grand Avenue, has become a place of pilgrimage. Jason Malone from the Awards Center says: “Ali was a true leader and he had a major impact not just on Louisville, but on the world as a whole. We have seen a huge increase in the number of orders for Ali-related trophies and plaques and, walking past his childhood home, some of them seem to have appeared there.”

Many people have stated that the loss of Muhammad Ali, who withdrew from public life 35 years ago, has been felt very acutely, comparing it to losing a brother. The Louisville community is a close knit one, and they have always respected the influence and inspiration that Ali provided. The Muhammad Ali center, which is a cultural center and museum built as a tribute to the champ, and home to one of the most famous plaques Louisville KY has to offer, has also been inundated with flowers and other memorabilia.

“As a member of the Louisville community, I really understand how Ali impacted the world as a whole, and how much he gave back to the community,” adds Malone. “It is heartening to see the amount of support the town gives and how public people are in their grief for Ali’s death.”

Throughout his career, Ali was controversial and outspoken. He won some of the greatest awards Louisville KY has ever seen, and he is deservedly called ‘the greatest’. The Awards Center, meanwhile, is heartened to see how much demand there is for Ali-related products.
