First Aid Shoppe Announces Updated Breathing Valve On Mini CPR Mask Controls Airflow To Victim

June 21, 2016 – – First Aid Shoppe reported updates today to the one-way breathing valve on their Mini CPR Mask. The CPR mask is a fold-out mask that stows in a keychain sized nylon pouch for quick access and use in a CPR emergency. First Aid Shoppe is a first aid and survival gear company that specializes in equipment and kits for professionals and the general public.

During a CPR emergency the rescue breather would ideally be able to reduce or eliminate contact with the victim, protecting both the rescue breather and the victim from the transmission of germs and other harmful elements, including bodily fluids. A CPR mask provides the shield for this, but a typical CPR mask can be large or unwieldy to have on hand. This is solved with so-called mini CPR masks, which are usually folded and carried in some form of pouch. However, these smaller masks often give up features.
