UK productivity, time management and organisation consultant and blogger Jo Dodds has released a new report, “Organising Your Inbox”, on her blog site Power To Live More, complementing her online workshops, helping her followers become more organised and free up their time.
More details can be found on the blog site: http://www.powertolivemore.com.
Jo Dodds’ recently released report “Organising Your Inbox” on the Power To Live More website, serves as a complementary resource to her online workshop, Getting To Inbox Zero. A former HR professional and marketing and social media consultant, Dodds has turned part time HR consultant, spends one day a week with the Engage For Success organisation, then spends the rest of her time on her blog, including providing email management tips to small business and home business people.
The “Organising Your Inbox” report looks at how small and home business folk can manage their inbox, manage emails effectively, avoid email overload and provides proactive email management tips. It focuses on email as a business tool, considering points such as how quickly a work email inbox can fill up, causing it to become a distraction and counter productive when it reaches the point where important emails are lost amongst the spam, particularly if email is a big part of getting work done throughout the day.
Some of the items the “Organising Your Inbox” report covers include: the benefits of unsubscribing from recurring junk email, as opposed to the short term solution of deleting them each time; setting up filters, including selecting fields and folder subjects for streamlining and better organisation; a look at downloadable tools to streamline an email inbox; using email’s search facility, to help find important emails within inbox and the archive section.
The report also covers scheduling time to process emails, including the use of ‘to do’ lists, pausing email during this phase to avoid further distractions, and actioning each email as: delete or archive, responding as ‘done’ or responding as ‘add to task list’. There is also a section on keeping an inbox and email maintained, including reviewing and adding incoming filters and so on. The “Organising Your Inbox” report is a suitable complement to an online workshop offered by Dodds, Getting to Inbox Zero, which focuses on reducing email volume and overwhelm, helping attendees learn how to free up their time from email. She encourages her blog visitors and workshop attendees to contact her for help and information regarding this topic.
UK based Dodds enjoys reading on topics such as health, productivity, technology, food and business and hence her blog is grouped into her range of interests, as follows: productivity, organisation, wellbeing, energy, resilience, recipes and podcasts featuring guest presenters. Power To Live More has online presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram, and the website has an RSS feed.
