Construction Worker Injured in Chattanooga Prompts Comment From Construction Accident Lawyer

June 28, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently made a statement regarding a construction accident that occurred in Chattanooga, Tennessee in which a 56-year-old man was injured. Moverman noted that construction accidents leaving workers seriously injured are far too common and that he wishes the man a speedy recovery.

The man had been using a jackhammer on the second floor of a building when the floor collapsed beneath him. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. while crews were demolishing the interior of a brick structure to be converted into an apartment building, according to ABC9 News. The man fell about 25 feet to the ground and first responders arrived shortly after.

These accidents are not uncommon, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The group states that 20 percent of all work-related fatalities occurred in the construction profession in 2013. The number of incidents has become a significant problem, prompting safety reform in places such as New York City. Among the most common accidents are scaffolding incidents, slips, trips and falls, and ladder falls. These accidents can often lead to injuries including lacerations, severe bruising, spinal injuries, head injuries and broken or fractured bones.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman has successfully represented thousands of clients over the years, winning millions for the victims of construction accidents. The firm strongly believes that victims of such accidents are entitled to the compensation they need and deserve.

“Most of these actions help to make our environment and the workplace safer so that others will not have to endure these painful losses,” said Moverman of the firm’s work.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman is currently looking to assist those individuals who have been affected by a construction accident. Qualifying individuals may be entitled to legal action and significant financial compensation.
