Personal Injury Lawyer Commends First Responders In Man’s Fall

Moverman said he commends the first responders who came to the aid of the worker and hopes that his recovery goes smoothly.
WNCT News reported that the worker had passed out before falling from the bridge over Gallants Channel. He was on top of a steel girder, about 70 feet above the water. His safety harness got snagged, causing him to lose balance and fall about five feet. The worker landed on plywood below, according to the news source. A contractor used a crane and lowered him to a boat below where he was taken to the nearest marina.The man was then airlifted to a nearby hospital and was expected to return to work the next week.
The most common forms of injury in the construction business include slips, trips, and falls, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. These types of accidents in addition to electrocution and being stuck between objects or struck by them, accounted for over half of construction worker deaths in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
