Soundtoons’ Music Language, a New Tool for Music Education, is Officially Launched
Soundtoons’ Lets Kids Educate Themselves through Exploration and Discovery
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / July 6, 2016 / Rohan Shaanti, an experimental artist with a background in film direction, music production and product design, is pleased to announce the launch of his new product, Soundtoons’ Music Language. As Shaanti notes, Soundtoons, a new music education tool, is already creating a serious buzz in the childhood development and creative spaces.
With more children than ever hooked on electronic tablets, computers and smartphones at an early age, Shaanti noticed that certain learning methods have fallen by the wayside. Overstimulated and used to being instantly gratified, he said many children are growing increasingly unaware of their innate abilities to play an acoustic instrument.
Combining the wisdom that children learn best by discovering through play along with a desire to cultivate focus, Shaanti created Soundtoons’ Music Language, a new line of educational tools that are designed to foster creative thinking and musical ability in children ages 1 to 9.
“Soundtoons recognizes that the key to keeping children focused is by letting them enjoy themselves through play, without allowing them to lose concentration,” Shaanti said, adding that because all of the Soundtoons products are totally acoustic, children will be less distracted than they would be with one of the many digital methods of early music education.
“Perhaps most importantly, however, these educational tools all resemble toys so that the children always have fun while they learn and experience an enthusiasm for music that keeps them coming back for more.”
The new Soundtoons’ instruments are both buildable and wearable, which Shaanti said helps to access the power of muscle memory. As he notes, kids can make sounds by stomping or shaking their arms and feet. By engaging with these bright and fun devices, Shaanti said children will naturally begin to develop their ear for harmony, love of melody, and a sense of rhythm.
In order to help pay for production and marketing costs associated with the new Soundtoons’ Music Language tools, Shaanti recently launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter. He hopes to raise $15,510 through crowdfunding to get as many of these innovative new instruments into the eager hands of budding young musicians.
