Future Purchasing Invites Participants To Category Management Survey
July 26, 2016 – – Future Purchasing, a company located in Surrey, United Kingdom, is now inviting individuals to participate in their 2016/2017 Category Management Survey. In the previous survey, which took place in 2014/2015, the company focused on leading practices which improved Category Management Performance. The new survey will now focus on building business cases for category management.
In regards to the previous survey, Mark Webb, MD, states; “The survey results confirm that Category Management is the foundation of professional Procurement functions, with 75% confirming it as a Top 3 priority in 2015. However, most organizations are still in the early stages of embedding Category Management – with only 5% of respondents describing their Category Management approach as fully ‘optimised’.”
The results of the last survey included opinions from more than 300 people, and Future Purchasing is hoping to see the numbers rise further in the new session, which in turn will see more businesses improve their methods of Category Management, including Procurement Category Management and investing. Mark Webb, MD, has reported that: “Both Leaders and Followers believe that optimising Category Management will deliver additional savings. Leaders expect a 4.1% increase to current levels – increasing total savings to 12.4% and boosting current performance by 49%. Followers have the potential to boost their current 5.9% savings performance by 111%.”
The 2016/2017 survey will take no more than 15-minutes to complete. Participants will input answers to a number of multiple choice questions throughout 7 categories. The survey can be completed anonymously, although those who complete the Future Purchasing Category Management Survey with a valid email address will receive a copy of the completed report before publication of the results are submitted publicly.
