New Graphic Novel of the Holy Bible is Officially Announced by Writer and Theologian Zachary Schertz

Schertz Hopes to Reach a New Generation of Readers and Christians through his Beautifully-Illustrated Book

The new graphic novel project is already getting a lot of positive attention in the religious and literary spaces. As Schertz noted, he was inspired to create this bold new project when he realized that the Bible could reach a whole new generation of readers by taking the Word and putting it into a form people already love–a graphic novel.

By illustrating the New Testament, this graphic novel will provide people with an exciting way into the world of Christianity, Schertz noted. With its combination of the timeless wisdom of the Bible and the captivating visual style of graphic novels, it is bound to be a gripping read.

“I want to show a whole new generation of young people the truth and absolute authority of God’s Word. To this end, I want to show them it in a new and engaging way,” Schertz said, adding that it pains him when he meets people who are not familiar with the messages in the Holy Bible.

“I am training to be a priest and thus am heartbroken when people have not heard The Gospel Message. I want to spread it beyond the Parish that I am assigned to.”

In order to help pay for the artist who will help transform Schertz’s dream of a Graphic Novel of the Holy Bible into reality, he recently launched a fundraiser on Indiegogo. He hopes to raise $2,500 to pay for the artist’s work, and get the book into the hands of as many people as possible.

“Christians are consistently called to ‘make disciples of all nations.’ Imagine what would happen if we could do that together,” he said.
