Massage School In Costa Rica Starts New Fall Semester Class
August 23, 2016 – – The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy, based in Samara, Nicoya, Costa Rica, is proud to announce the launch of their new fall semester class Mariposa 2016. The class has just started, and students will receive 600 hours of instruction during the course. More details are available at crsmt.com.
Courtney Krenz from The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy says: “24 students arrived on August 9, along with two instructors and a teaching assistant. We’re really excited about this semester and love to see some new faces. Their energy is infectious. The group is a mix from the US, Turkey, Russia, and Canada, and their ages range between 19 and 54.”
So far, the students have started off strong in academics. They have also participated strongly in the group wellness activities. The Vinyasa Yoga, High Intensity Interval Training, Guided Meditation, and the Secret Beach Hike have been proven to be particularly popular. Photographs are available on Facebook.
During the first quarter, students will focus on Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Western Massage Techniques. This is a very hands-on class. Tess McGrath, the director of operations, will be leading a guided meditation on the beach at low tide, during the full moon.
“We’ve noticed that the students have already been doing a lot of trades with each other to get as much practice in as possible,” adds Courtney. “There has been a lot of excitement in the community for the new group, and we’ve even had folks stop by to ask when the clinic opens.”
By the end of this quarter, the students will be ready to give a 60 minute full body massage treatment. Those who have completed the courses in the past have been very enthusiastic, leaving a wealth of positive reviews. “CRSMT has been one of the most enlightening, riveting, and challenging experiences of my life,” says Ksa C. on the school website. “After a short four months I am amazed at the sheer quantity of priceless information that I have gained and the simple understanding of the human body that I have achieved. I stumbled upon CRSMT without a clear vision of how massage would fit into my life and I now leave this program with a passion, a mission, to share the simple beauty of human touch.”
