New Solar/Battery Powered LED Camping Lantern Launched

August 29, 2016 – – AID & PREP, a Pasadena CA based company known for producing high quality emergency preparedness gear and outdoor equipment at a great value, has launched a new Camping Gear item into the Amazon Marketplace. The item is a Silicone Pop Up Camping Lantern that charges 3 ways and has 3 brightness settings. Solar power, battery power and a USB port can charge the unit for up to 80 hours of light on the lowest setting. The settings include: High Power, Normal Power and Warm Glow Dim and each is achieved by pushing the ON button until the desired brightness occurs. The unit is collapsible measuring just 2.5 inches high when compact and opening to 4.5 inches tall when opened.

The lamp can be propped on a table or hung from its hanger hook. The brightest setting casts enough light to read by or to light a tent or camping table. The batteries provide 10 hours of light at its highest setting. The normal light mode, which is the equivalent of an overhead light in a small room or lamp on a table top will last 25 hours and the night light warm glow feature will last 80 hours on the batteries which are not included.

The lantern weighs only 5 ounces without the batteries. Day hikers can charge it by solar power or plug it into a computer and charge by USB port before leaving. Brodie Vaughn, head of sales at Aid & Prep, said, “We are very excited about this lantern. Our family loves camping, whether its in a National Park or in our own backyard. The lantern’s 3 power sources make it totally versatile and the brightest mode makes it easy to read in a tent or outside at night. It’s light an compact so backpackers will love it too.”

The light is different from others on the Amazon marketplace since it is the only brands to have silicone material, to pop up, to be dimmable and to have 3 powers sources. The all in one light can provide light bright enough to cook at night and can dim low enough to serve as a warm glow night light. The item is drip proof and can withstand rain, but should not be submerged fully in water.

Mr. Vaughn went on to say, “We spent a long time trying to find a supplier that could fulfill everything on our wish list for this product. We are proud of the workmanship and ingenuity that went into the design, especially the delayed ON switch and the USB port.” The unit features a delayed on switch which the user must hold down for 3 seconds so that the item does not accidentally turn on and deplete its power source while in a back pack.

The item comes with full printed instructions in the box and Aid & Prep is offering a 100% manufacturer’s guarantee against any faults or defects.
