TheStartupMag.com Features Articles about Successful Entrepreneurs like Dorko

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 31, 2016 / Irina Dorko, a successful fitness and fashion entrepreneur, is pleased to announce that she was recently featured in an article on TheStartupMag.com. The website is an online business magazine that has an editorial focus on developing resources for startups and entrepreneurs.

When asked what she wished she knew before starting her first business, Dorko said it would have been good to know just how many long hours she would have to put in to build a company. While she has had a very rewarding and successful experience as an entrepreneur, Dorko admits she initially underestimated how much time she would need to spend on her business.

As for her best hiring tip, Dorko said it’s important to learn more about any prospective employee’s true passions.

“Ask if they have the desire to own their own business one day,” she said, adding that while ambitious employees threaten some employers, she is the opposite.

“I love hiring ambitious people. Don’t be afraid to help someone reach their goals.”

Dorko also discussed both the best and the worst pieces of advice she has ever received.

“The best piece of advice I’ve received is: ‘Don’t stress out about life… None of us make it out alive anyway,'” she said.

“I love that piece of advice, and think about that whenever things get a little hectic. It’s a lighthearted reminder that life is too short to stress out.”

On the flip side, Dorko said, the worst bit of advice she has ever heard was “Ignore the details.” As Dorko told the interviewer at TheStartupMag.com, it is vital to be detail-oriented and never overlook the “small stuff.” Following this advice, she said, would lead to a lot of accumulated mistakes in a day.

Dorko concluded the interview by discussing who she would love to have dinner with—this included both current-day people and anybody from the past.

“I would love to have dinner with my great-great-grandparents,” Dorko said.

“I would love to speak with them about my family, and about the challenges they faced growing up. I think it’d be an incredible perspective to hear.”
