SI Systems Wins $3.2 Million Towline Conveyor Rejuvenate and Retrofit Contract from USPS

EASTON, PA / ACCESSWIRE / December 13, 2016 / SI Systems, A Paragon Technologies Company (OTC PINK: PGNT), has been selected to receive a $3.2 million contract to rejuvenate and retrofit the existing towline conveyor system at the United States Postal Service (USPS) Network Distribution Center (NDC) in Greensboro, NC.

The Greensboro NDC facility is a highly mechanized mail processing plant of the USPS that distributes standard mail and package services in piece and bulk form.

A key component of this mechanized facility is an in-floor towline conveyor system. Towline conveyor is a system of chain running in a track mounted in the floor. The towline conveyor is used to transport mail carts to the proper locations within the facility for processing. This critical transportation helps assure the proper and timely delivery of all standard mail and packages within the facility’s region. The towline has been used daily for decades and requires rejuvenation.

“SI Systems is pleased to continue to support the USPS in its Greensboro, North Carolina facility towline conveyor rejuvenation and retrofit project similar to the work we recently completed in their Jacksonville, Florida location. We stand committed in helping the USPS provide their customers flawless delivery of their mail and parcels and to maintain their world class position in distribution and e-commerce in the US,” said John C Molloy, President and CEO of SI Systems.
