An Atlanta Based Creative Firm is Under New Ownership Effective Immediately

ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / January 11, 2017 / Scenic Figure, a design agency based in Atlanta, GA, is under new ownership after the passing of owner and founder, Damien Schaefer.

Damien Schaefer, a Tucker, GA native, was known for his strong vibrancy in the creative sector. Schaefer had over 19 years of experience in design, branding, and marketing. With his breadth of knowledge, he started his own successful creative firm, Scenic Figure. Scenic Figure’s impressive portfolio includes bands such as R.E.M., Green Day, and Widespread Panic.

However, Schaefer’s passions expanded beyond design and marketing. Schaefer was also the creator of the award-winning dining experience, The Four Coursemen. The twice-monthly dinners were featured in magazines such as Southern Living and TV shows like The Cooking Channel. Schaefer rounded up a group of culinary experts to provide secret dinners in a shotgun house outside of Athens. The dinners regularly sold out in under ten minutes.

Unfortunately, Schaefer, who fought melanoma for the past two years, passed away in October 2016. Damien’s friend and business partner, Craig Kronenberger, via his company Stripe Reputation, is taking over and running Scenic Figure effective immediately. Kronenberger has over 20 years of experience in the creative space and is confident he can carry on Schaefer’s vision for Scenic Figure.

In addition, Kronenberger, his wife Liz, and friend of Damien, Tom Ajello, will come together with Damien’s wife, Jennings Miller to launch a non-profit in Damien’s name.

“I hope we can recognize Damien as the Renaissance man he was. Through the Damien Schaefer Project, we plan to encompass Damien’s passions: food, music, and community. By taking over Scenic Figure I plan to continue business as usual and carry on Damien’s legacy. I hope my team can build on the current clientele and provide the same excellent service Damien was known for,” said Kronenberger.

All proceeds and profits made in 2016 will go towards setting up the foundation, “The Damien Schaefer Project.” Normaltown, Schaefer’s equity crowdfunding campaign to start an artisanal brewery and Cucina, will also be a part of the foundation. Schaefer created Normaltown to share his love of food, community, and music with others.

Schaefer’s wife, Jennings Miller, says she is hopeful knowing that Damien’s friends and business partners will be carrying on her husband’s creative business.

“I have full trust that Craig and his team will run the business (Scenic Figure) just as Damien did. Through the Damien Schaefer Project, I hope the community will be able to see the impact Damien had on the music and food industry. Damien was one of a kind, and few people I know have lived their life out loud and touched as many lives as Damien did,” Jennings Miller says.
