LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / February 20, 2016 / Author and Journalist Ray Richmond is pleased to announce the upcoming release of his new play, Transition. The play offers details about what the first meeting between Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump might have been like when they met in the Oval Office on November 10, 2016.

As a spokesperson for the Transition noted, Richmond was inspired to create this story after seeing a very civil, albeit tense, meeting of these powerful men following an election period full of disdain. Transition will debut in Hollywood at the Lounge Theatre for 16 shows, from March 9 to April 9, 2017.
“Transition is a 90-minute play that takes audiences into the Oval Office to explore the possibilities of what really went on prior to the aired meeting,” the spokesperson said, adding that this simple, single set play features two actors and is a serious attempt to guess what these political figures may have discussed in private.
“During the 2016 election, Obama and Trump openly expressed their dislike for one another, questioning the other’s abilities, qualifications, and character. With Obama’s autopilot professionalism and Trump’s seemingly tense, but reserved attitude, viewers were left wondering how these two were able to spend 90 minutes in each other’s company prior to taping their first meeting.”
Neither comedy nor satire, this play simply dares to tell Richmond’s idea of the most likely scenario. In order to help pay for many of the production costs associated with bringing his play to the Lounge Theatre in March, Ray recently turned to Indiegogo for support from the public. He hopes to raise $37,500 through crowdfunding.
