The New Movie is a Family-Friendly Comedy that Tells the Story of a Top Marbleist who Finds His Legacy Threatened when a New Guy Comes to Town

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / March 27, 2017 / Arthur Johnson, a writer, actor, director and producer from El Cajon, California, is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of his new film Marbles: The Day in the Life of a Top Dog Marbleist.

As a spokesperson for the upcoming movie noted, in the Marble world, Marbleists are like Rock Stars, equipped with their own Sidekicks/caddies, paparazzi and Marble groupies.

“Marbo Clepo, a Top Dog Marbleist who is on the verge of four-peating and dethroning Marbo Jordan to become the greatest marbleist ever, has his legacy threatened when a new guy comes to town and forces him to face his toughest opponent yet: life,” the spokesperson said, adding that Marbles will be unlike any other comedy audiences have ever seen.

“Marbles is a world within a world, when a marble name can define a player and intimidate his opponent, and includes a dress code: Baggy jeans, entitled t-shirt, knee pads, and flashy colored bandannas.”

In addition to bringing in a new breed of comedy movie, Johnson said he hopes his Marbles film will help create more awareness about diversity, inspire kids to get out of the house and onto the playground and lead to social awareness and friendships.

In order to help pay for the pre-production costs associated with shooting Marbles: The Day in the Life of a Top Dog Marbleist, as well as pay the cast members, Johnson recently launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter. There, he hopes to raise $70,000 through crowdfunding.

“Monies will also be spent on the Producers, Director, Travel and Living, Production Staff, Set Dressing, Special Effects, Camera, Wardrobe, Catering, Marketing, Construction, Insurance, General Expenses, and other costs,” the spokesperson said.
