AECS Announces New Transportation Service Partnership with LA Christian Health Center
Thanks to the Partnership, AECS is Now Providing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services to LACHC and their Patients at No Cost
ORANGE COUNTY, CA / ACCESSWIRE / March 28, 2017 / AECS, an ancillary health services and technology company, is pleased to announce that they have recently formed a transportation service partnership with LA Christian Health Center (LACHC). LACHC is a federally qualified health center (FHQC) in Los Angeles that has served the health needs of the area’s marginalized population since 1995.
Thanks to the new partnership, AECS is now providing free non-emergency medical transportation to LACHC and their patients. The service, which is called Health-E Rides, leverages smart proprietary technology, high quality customer service, and ride-share partnerships to service medicare and medicaid beneficiaries across the US.

“While today our partners are primarily private health insurers, we are always looking for opportunities to serve in our communities and provide better access to care. We found that our values and mission aligned with the amazing work that LACHC does in their community and wanted to support their initiatives. This partnership is our way of giving back where we can and reminding our team why we do what we do,” the company’s co-founder, Josh Itano said.
As a company spokesperson noted, the founders of AECS understand that transportation can be an incredibly large barrier to those in need of medical care. Understanding this gap in access to care inspired the team to build a new model and platform for medical transportation. The service has already had a tangible and positive impact on people who need to see their doctor but are unable to get there on their own.
Health-E Rides is also devoted to making sure patients of LACHC have positive experiences while using the service. From the moment they schedule their first ride to when they are in the vehicle going to and from their appointment, customer service and comfort are high priorities. The call center is staffed by seniors and the group of dedicated drivers is friendly and reliable.
