Playground’s Album Project, Fairytales and Colored Dreams, is Officially Announced

The Prerelease Single, Neverland, is Available Now

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / March 29, 2017 / Sarah Wilson and Rachel Byrum/Dunn, a duo of singing sisters who enjoy creating magical music, are pleased to announce the upcoming release of their band Playground’s album project.

As a spokesperson for Playground noted, Sarah and Rachel moved to Nashville in 2014 and began building their musical presence in a city filled with stars. Although they received a few contract offers, they have decided to stay independent and maintain full control of their musical sound and direction.

Sarah and Rachel came up with the name Playground and began to work on their greatest project yet—an album titled Fairytales and Colored Dreams, which is s record about love, celebration, grief and happiness. A prerelease single, Neverland, is already available.

The concept of fairytales is very meaningful to Sarah and Rachel; as they grew up, fairytales became a way for the sisters to understand the greatest lessons in life and also a way to describe them. They turned to fairytales as they fell in love and needed words to convey what they were feeling, and then as their hearts were broken the sisters used fairytales again to help rescue them from their feelings of sadness.

“In this record Cinderella makes an appearance as a girl afraid of commitment, Snow White becomes their way to talk about being fooled and Neverland transforms into a song of hope for children in slavery,” the spokesperson said, adding that the sisters also talk about the twinkling emotions of falling in love like Sleeping Beauty and true love’s kiss, and about how, contrary to the popular tale, sometimes the Beauty in someone cannot cure the Beast in another.

In order to help finish recording the eight songs on their Fairytales and Colored Dreams album, Sarah and Rachel recently launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter. There, they hope to raise $10,000 through crowdfunding.
