Website Releases New Information On Talcum Baby Powder Lawsuit
April 04, 2017 – – TalcumPowder.org, a consumer information website, has announced that they have new information on the ongoing talcum baby powder lawsuits. The site states that their information is updated regularly to help women who feel that they may have a claim against pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson, which produced and marketed Johnson Baby Powder and Shower to Shower over the years.
“Our aim is to ensure that everyone has the information they need to determine whether or not they may have a claim in these cases,” states a representative for the website. “If you feel that you have a case to file, we want to help ensure that you get it in front of the right people.”
On the site, information is provided about talc and its uses as well as where it comes from. Site information also includes a timeline of studies done on talc, showing when the first claim was filed about the product and how that claim has grown to include thousands of lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson.
“Talc powder has been on store shelves for a long time,” says the site representative. “More than 120 years of marketing it toward women and babies and studies show that as early as 1930, there were warnings that it could lead to ovarian cancer. This is why we are here to give women the information they need about these products and the people who have continually urged them to use them over the years.”
The site includes information from a number of studies done over the years that state that no less than 75 percent of all cancerous tumors in the ovaries contain talc powder. These studies began in 1971 and ended in 2011, and show that women who have used talc powder in their genital area have a more than 400 percent increased risk of developing ovarian cancer. The site claims that women have been misled and offers insights into clearing up these misconceptions.
