Offutt Air Force Base Kids Get Free Month at American Academies of Martial Arts

April is Month of the Military Child and American Academies of Martial Arts is giving a free month of training to children of families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. They can claim their free month anytime during the month of April.

American Academies of Martial Arts in Bellevue announced today they would donate a free month of martial arts training to support and honor children and their families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base during April – Month of the Military Child.

According to Military Child Education Coalition, there are over 2 million children with parents who are serving in the military, and most are in grades K-12. They go on to say that teachers, mentors, and role models play a pivotal role in the life of a military child – especially where one parent is deployed away from home. Children of military families face uncertainty, frequent moves, parental deployments, and many other big life transitions. These transitions are far more frequent, and often more sudden, than what other children their age face. It’s not a stretch to say that military children are serving, in their own way, right along side their parents.

That’s why American Academies of Martial Arts owner Mark Goblowsky is stepping in to offer support to those families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. Mark is a veteran and owns a martial arts training facility near Offutt Air Force Base. Mr. Goblowsky says he has a special place in in his heart for the children of military families because he too is the product of being raised in a military family. He said his school thrilled to be able to give to the community of military families by offering a free month of martial arts training to anyone that comes to his school during April, Month of the Military Child. Mark believes many of the core principles found in the military can also be found in the martial arts. Principles such as discipline, focus, strength, integrity, and fun are fundamental to his school’s success and to the success of his students.
