American Movie Company Debuts New Chelsea Prime Studio

The American Movie Company is excited to announce the acquisition of its newest studio, the Chelsea Prime Stage. The studio is located on 28th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues and is open for rental as of April 24, 2017.

The American Movie Company is excited to announce the acquisition of its newest studio, the Chelsea Prime Stage. The studio is located on 28th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues and is open for rental as of April 24, 2017.

The studio has a 20’x15’x7’ cyc that can be painted green or white to accommodate the needs of any shoot. A full selection of lighting equipment, including par cans, tweenies, babies, and kino celebs, is available along with a variety of rigging equipment. The studio has 300 AMP lunch boxes, and the electrical distribution includes Cam-lok, 100A Bates, 60A Bates, and 20A Edison. The entire facility is equipped with a silent air conditioning system.

In addition to the cyc, the studio has a viewing room that doubles perfectly as a sound booth. The room has a 4’x8’ window that looks out onto the cyc. The viewing room is adjacent to the studio’s kitchen, which contains a full-sized refrigerator and a coffee maker.

The American Movie Company has several cameras available for rental at their Chelsea Prime Studio. Models include the Red Dragon, the Sony FS 7, the Ursa Mini, the Sony PMW 40, and the Blackmagic 4k.

AMC also offers production services at Chelsea Prime. They offer their full range of teleprompter services: on-camera prompters, interrotrons, EyeDirects, and iPad prompters. In addition to teleprompting, AMC offers production service packages with a DP, camera operators, grip, gaffer, sound, production manager, and production assistant.
