Loftus is manager of Loftus Law in Sarasota and has been reappointed for the 2017-2018 term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Ringling College Library Association. She serves as Secretary during her upcoming third year as a member of the Board. Previously, Loftus served as parliamentarian.
The Ringling College Library Association (RCLA) was established in 1975 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the continuing development of the Ringling College of Art and Design’s library. RCLA organizes and hosts one of Sarasota’s largest annual fund-raising events, the nationally renowned Town Hall Lecture series.
The RCLA Town Hall Lecture series, features keynote speeches from some of the world’s most influential figures, including world leaders, past United States presidents and their wives, and other political leaders, scientists, authors, entertainers, and military personages. The RCLA’s fund-raising efforts have raised over eight million dollars to purchase books and other materials for the library, and most notably, to fund the construction of the new Alfred R. Godstein Library on the Ringling College of Art and Design campus. The new library opened this year.
