Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant Celebrates More Than Three Decades In Business

Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant and Bob Ansara are pleased to announce that they have reached the milestone of thirty-eight years of operation. The facility is open around the clock and family owned. The restaurant and cantina sits in a great location, half mile west of the Palms Hotel and Casino. Although the city of Las Vegas constantly changes and evolves, the award-winning concept of the Bob Ansara facility has remained the same. It has won the Best of Las Vegas poll more than twenty times.

The title of the Best Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas is particularly notable with so many celebrity chefs and budget-busting dinner tabs in the gaming capital. The combined experience of the team at Ricardo’s amounts to well over half a millennium. The atmosphere is comfortable, warm and lively and keeps patrons returning again and again.

The facility is large enough to serve big groups and the catering team headed up by Carlos Gomez will travel anywhere from Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon Skywalk to the middle of nowhere for a Ferrari Ad. Ansara competed for and won the Guinness World Record for the Largest Margarita, a 7624 gallon concoction.

Ricardo’s is open 24/7 with a remodeled gaming area and a cantina that serves only 100% Blue Agave tequila. Authentic menu favorites, like Chili Colorado and Chili Verde, stay on the menu and creative new dishes, like lobster tacos and a shrimp/chorizo queso (that’s a melty, loaded cheese dip, to those who speak Gringo”) appear. The kitchen is a bustling, aromatic place with meats roasting or sizzling in a fajita skillet with veggies, and sauces, salsas, dips and chilies all made from scratch.

Special dietary needs are not a cause for panic at Ricardo’s and a fun kids’ menu is available. (The cantina is a kid–free zone.) Desserts are varied and plentiful, if customers can handle dessert after the generous portions of delectable, richly flavored Mexican fare.
