Extel 2017 Results

Survey of Pan-European Investment Professionals’ Highlights Achievement Across the Buy-Side, Sell-Side and Corporate Community

LONDON, UK / ACCESSWIRE / June 7, 2017 / Extel, the leading source of Pan-European opinions amongst the investment community, today announced the results of the 44th annual Extel survey. The pan-European survey highlights achievement across the buy-side,
sell-side and corporate communities.

Receiving an unprecedented response,
Extel continues to capture deeper, more analytical data from all the key market practitioners than ever before. Over 95% of votes came online, with
Extel running from 22nd March to the 28th April 2017. Contribution increased nearly 10% with votes received from over 3,200 buy-side firms, 3,000 analysts from 270 brokerage firms/research houses, and over 1,100 of Europe’s largest quoted companies worldwide.

Highlights of the key winners from
Extel 2017 are:

Equity Research: Exane BNP Paribas
Fund Management Firm: JP Morgan Asset Management
Equity Analyst: Jeff Stent, Exane BNP Paribas
Pan-European Hedge Fund: Kairos Partners
UK Small & Mid Caps: Numis Securities
Asset Management firm for Equity Execution: Lupus Alpha Asset Management
Quoted Company for Investor Relations: Deutsche Telekom AG

“The 2017 pan-European survey has elicited a larger participation than ever before. The change in regulations imposed by MiFID II
are leading the equities investment community to re-examine established values and best practices. Unbundling of execution and research services will magnify the focus on the quality of services provided by the sell-side, and an independent source of validation will have a valuable role to play. With over 600 rankings and an
unrivalled depth and breadth of data,
Extel will continue to play a pivotal role in the equities investment landscape,” commented David Enticknap, Head of
Extel.

Extel Europe awards over 600 rankings covering equity sectors, economics and strategy, equity derivatives, emerging markets, and UK Small & Mid Caps categories.
