“Imagine” is to create a possible future. “Museum” is a home of Muses, the sources of inspiration.
Imagine Museum is a haven for new visions, a destination for those who seek more richly imagined outcomes.
The Glass Art Museum works to attract, preserve, document and show the finest examples of visionary art in glass and other media. Its programs support the articulation of dreams common to youth, to the living artist, to pioneers of knowledge. It is a friend of groups with similar goals.

Harvey Littleton and Dominick Labino held the now-famous glass workshop at the Toledo Museum of Art in 1962. They created and built a small furnace for melting glass designed for an individual artist studio. In the short course of 50 years, Littleton’s revolution has indeed succeeded in transforming glass from a substance suited for commercial production into an artist medium.
It represents an historical Family Tree of the American Studio Glass Art Movement from the 1960’s to the present. This 55-year phenomenon is represented by 55 prominent glass artists who exemplify its vitality. The collection comprises almost 500 extraordinary works that highlight the connections and influences among studio blown glass art pioneers through to the present.
Its prime intention is to help expand the flourishing arts communities on the Gulf Coast. The hope is to add a unique dimension of scholarship, interactive participation, high standards of quality, and a focus on children and the future as these may be helped to flourish through an understanding of aesthetics.
