Christopher Reeve was an actor, director, and activist most famous for his role as Superman. In 1995, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed from the neck down due to an equestrian injury. Christopher Reeve passed away in 2004, due to complications sustained from his injury. Christopher’s wife, Dana Reeve, continued to work with the charity until her untimely passing in 2006 due to lung cancer.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s mission is to cure spinal cord injury through the funding of innovative research.
