MapleTwig Pledges Support for the ACLU With New Hat

MapleTwig has announced they will be partnering with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) by donating a portion of the proceeds from their new wide-brim summer Straw Hat in support of the ACLU’s fight to protect the rights of all American citizens.

This partnership aims to help bring awareness to some of the legal issues Americans and immigrants are facing under the Trump administration. While there’s been a great deal of confusion surrounding the executive orders regarding immigration, travel bans and deportation, the ACLU aims to bring clarity and protect the civil liberties of those whose rights are being violated.

There is a considerable amount of support for this cause from the women’s rights movements, Black Lives Matters movements, LGBTQ movements in support of American values as minority groups band together to fight for freedom and shared values.

The wide brimmed straw hat comes in hot pink and white with the option of decorative red, white and blue flowers to symbolize freedom, liberty, and justice for all, which closely aligns with the ACLU’s mission. It’s a fresh take on the “PussyHats” made popular by the Women’s Rights Marches and protests earlier this year.
