Chesapeake Shop Partners with Agency to Bulk Print Corrugated Plastic Signs

Hackworth and 3 Waves Media partner to design and print corrugated plastic signs for produce company serving 90 commissaries on the East Coast.

Hackworth, a professional printer headquartered in Chesapeake, VA in the Hampton Roads area, has partnered with 3 Waves Media to produce corrugated plastic signs. The ongoing project is for a produce company that serves more than 90 commissaries on the East Coast and includes seasonal, point-of-purchase and branding peices.

On a typical order, 3 Waves Media is responsible for the design and management of the artwork while Hackworth is tasked with the print production of the project. Hackworth’s production process includes printing between 100 and 250 signs on their Océ 350 GT flatbed printer and then cutting the sheets down to a 24″ x30″ size. Hackworth completes the fullfillment by packaging and delivering the signs to the end customer.

Corrugated signage is a low-cost, lightweight indoor or outdoor solution that is well-suited for various types of applications. It is a versatile product manufactured as an extruded twin-wall polypropylen sheet. Many people are familiar with the name Coroplast, a manufacturer of the corrugated plastic sheets. While Coroplast is a well-known brand there are other options including Corex, Corflute and Plasticor.
