LGBT Holy Bible Quoting Christian Faith Community Uniting Book Launch
Many people confuse the Bible’s stance on the issue of being gay. However, the newly released title God is Gay analyzes many editions of the Bible, dating back to 1599 through to 2015, to uncover the truth about God’s views on homosexuality.

New York-based Goodfriend Publishing, a publication house, has launched its latest title ‘God is Gay’. A scriptural analysis, God is Gay defines that the Holy Bible does not segregate gay men or women from the church or sharing faith. This title is a game-changer that empowers Christians and builds faith in the church welcoming all, gay and straight.

Recently released and dubbed the ‘straight Christian’s guide to the gay issue’, God is Gay analytically looks at the words of faith and deciphers meaning. Divided into seven chapters and written by a heterosexual, God is Gay proves seven valid points about God, homosexuality and Christian faith.
Studying many editions of the bible from 1599 through to 2015, God Is Gay notes that older editions pre-1995 do not mention the word homosexual, and yet, many editions after 1995 do. The insertion of the word homosexual in the Holy Bible, says God is Gay, is therefore not a faithful translation of the Bible, but, instead, a human interpretation.
Chapter one of God is Gay looks at Isaiah 45:9-12 and points out that God made all creations, which are not open to critics. The second chapter notes that homosexuality is not a sin and anyone who says otherwise is a hypocrite. Chapters three and four focuses on God’s love being for all, and to love one another. While chapters five and six concentrate on being nonjudgmental, and the meaning of the terms ‘sexual impurity’ and ‘sexual sin’. Lastly, the final chapter highlights that God embraces gay.
Overall, the title aims to change the stigma created by the media and others with homophobic views that all Christians are anti-gay when in fact, most Christians don’t perceive being gay as a sin, consequently, defining a stance on the issue that encourages more people to attend church.
When asked about the God is Gay book, Chris who has Christian faith said, “Homophobia is making Christianity unattractive, and it is hurting the church. This book is the fix.”
