Mr. Sid to Celebrate 50th Anniversary With “A Fete of 50 Years of Fashion”

Mr. Sid, Boston’s premier luxury menswear retailer, has announced “A Fete of 50 Years of Fashion” to celebrate 50 years of dressing the area’s most fashionable gentlemen. The black tie optional golden anniversary celebration will be held at Mr. Sid at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, and is by invitation only for Mr. Sid friends, family and select customers.

That’s why we wanted to celebrate our 50th anniversary with those customers who have made Mr. Sid a men’s fashion destination,” said Mr. Sid vice president Barry Segel.

Since opening its doors on September 25, 1967, Mr. Sid has enhanced its 10,000-square-foot store and introduced its own collections alongside the top luxury menswear brands in the world. Among them are Sid Royale, an affordable made-to-measure suit and shirt line offering tons of customization options, and Sid Sport, a sportswear line equally suited for the gym and for the ski slope.

In November, Mr. Sid will open a second location in the Boston Seaport Village area. The 2,300-square-foot men’s clothing store will complement the flagship store in Newton, showcasing core collections and introducing Mr. Sid to a whole new audience. “There’s an energy unlike anywhere else in the city right now,” said Mr. Sid president Stuart Segel. “It’s innovative, it’s youthful, and I think it plays to our brand.
