It was a productive week for the Manicure and Pedicure Board. The board members were busy writing amendments and rules for the guidelines that must be followed by hundreds of nail salons city-wide. Chairman of the board, Mr. Paul Ho, has called a 5-day-long convention, which was held at The Graveyard, Singapore’s premiere co-working space.

Mr. Ho, together with 28 other members of the board, has agreed to the 2-page written agreement that they have written together. “We are glad and honored to be part of this history-changing event. It is the first time that we have a gathering like this. And we are very proud to present to you the new regulations in pedicure Singapore and manicure Singapore. Board members include the owners of top nail salons in the country, including Tulsa Day Spas, Dats Nails, Levonne De Spa, Nail Care Directory, Look-at-my-Nails Manicure and Pedicure Hub, and many others.

The new rules and regulations in safety include the requirement to use ONLY products that meet the standards of the board. There will be certain products and brands that the board will allow; they will release a list of them within this week. Also, the nail technicians – the manicurists/pedicurists – must have proper training with certifications, as well as medical certificates that prove that they are physically fit to work and do not have any communicable disease.
