Winnipeg based Civility Experts Worldwide Inc. is particularly proud to present the International Trainer and Affiliate of The Year Award for 2017 to longtime affiliate Marwan Asmar, who lives and works in Lebanon; servicing many countries in the region. The company says Asmar was chosen for the Award to recognize him for innovation, integrity and exhibiting high standards for civility and social competency in his business and in his community. In a move that reflects the respect he has garnered among his peers, he has also been elected the Director of Credentials Validation for International Civility Trainers’ Consortium.) At present, Marwan is one of only 7 Master Certified Civility Trainers in the world. “I am happy and grateful for being nominated for this international award by CEW and ICTC International,” He said. “This is a huge responsibility that will challenge me to produce, based on the Civility approach, more books, develop new trainings for teachers, parenting, customer service, emotional intelligence, youth leadership, and life skills development.” Speaking on the challenges he has faced in his work, Asmar says : “The greatest challenge is to convince the diverse international community to adopt the Civility as a lifestyle and a mindset, in its real and genuine version…I always tell my trainees that Civility derives from the love and respect to the human being through consistently showing ‘the exceptional quality of being humane.’ One of the most important quotes about Civility that I always say – and it shapes my training approach – is : “Civility is within us it; is in our body.. we just have to show it!” When asked to reflect on the secrets of his success, he responds : “My secret is not secret. Success is a process and not a destination. I always advise all my trainees in the region to remain genuine, be passionate, read, develop and practice and most importantly love and respect people. “
