SANTA BARBARA, Calif. , USA – December 1, 2017 /MarketersMedia/ —
Cabana Home Interior Design and Home Furnishings Gallery, a premiere interior design and home furnishings firm in the Santa Barbara area, today announced that it will be hosting an art installation. The installation, which will debut on December 1 and run through February 2, 2018, features paintings by Robert Stone and photographs by George Legrady. The installation is being presented in collaboration with Edward Cell Art + Architecture.
“The arresting monochromatic work of these artists are a bold and dramatic addition to sunny Santa Barbara interiors,” said Steve Thomson, co-founder of Cabana Home.
The installation features works by noted artists. Robert Stone’s paintings are inspired by environments observed in architecture and nature. Stone distills his perceptions into geometric arrangements in shades of black or white in large format, so that the compositions draw the artist (and the viewer) into the form and its spatial experience.
Santa Barbara-based George Legrady interlaces photographs together through the lenticular process, an imaging technique that creates the illusion of movement between images when observers change their viewing angle. His work is in the permanent collections of international museums including the Whitney Museum of American Art, San Francisco Museum Modern Art and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
