Rotherham Law Firm Launches Major Expansion Programme with Three New Offices

Two of the New Offices are Located in Sheffield and the Third is in London

SHEFFIELD, UK / ACCESSWIRE / December 26, 2017 / Rotherham-based law firm Wilford Smith has launched a major expansion programme by opening three new offices, two in Sheffield and one in London. The firm, founded in 1981 by Stephen Smith MBE, specialises in major fraud and complex corporate cases, commercial conveyancing and estate planning.

The new offices are in Paradise Street, Sheffield; Meadowhall Business Park, Sheffield; and in central London. The firm has expanded its staff numbers to 26 and anticipates employing more in the near future.

Wilford Smith attained ABS (alternative business structure) status earlier in 2017 and by opening three new offices has signalled its intention to become one of the region’s most significant law firms.

ABS status enables Wilford Smith to attract investment and management expertise from non-lawyers, as well as to deliver a wider range of client services. The expansion so far has been self-funded, but the firm has not ruled out accepting offers of external funding.

Senior partner Stephen Smith was awarded an MBE in 2006 for services to South Yorkshire charities. In 2014 he was granted the Freedom of Rotherham in recognition of his efforts for the town and its community.
