Lenzworks created Relative Race—the national award-winning competition series—as a unique way for participants to reconnect with family members they had never met before. Four teams race across the country over 10 days, searching for their family in a race against the clock and each other. However, there is a twist: they are unable to use any technology. Armed only with paper maps and their own wits, they must navigate and complete challenges in order to receive their relative’s address. Once completing their grueling journey, the teams must spend the night with their new family! All teams take home new found family members and one team also takes home a grand prize of $50,000. Through the show, participants and the audience members gain a deeper appreciation for their own families and the struggles that they have gone through.

Relative Races’ combination of fast-paced excitement and deeply personal stories is resonating with national audiences and continually gaining popularity. Along with two Emmy nominations, the series recently won the CNET Award for “Best New Reality Competition” in the country.
