Over 30,000 People Welcomed 2018 with Christ Embassy’s Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

A crowd of over 30,000 people gathered at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa for a massive celebration, led by Christ Embassy’s Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The event acknowledged the achievements of the Church and its followers and send off 2017 with prayers, singing and awards.

A crowd of over 30,000 people gathered at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa for a massive free celebration, led by Christ Embassy’s Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The event was organized to acknowledge the achievements of the Church and its dedicated followers and send off 2017 with prayers, singing, dancing and awards.

The New Year’s Eve Service featured a review of the success Christ Embassy achieved throughout 2017, which has been declared as the year of flourishing. During the ceremony, it was revealed that over 1.3 billion copies of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s book, Rhapsody of Realities were distributed in over 900 languages. Some other notable achievements, celebrated at the ceremony, included the impact of the Loveworld networks and the recent launch of Loveworld USA. Additionally, the impact of the ministry was brought up, mentioning the many activities and of the Inner-City Mission, International School of Ministry and the Healing School.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s New Year’s Eve Service, also hosted the annual Future African Leaders Awards (FALA), given to young African leaders who with their actions brought about a change in their respective communities. This year’s star prize winner was Naomi Ekpoki Aliyu who won the prestigious prize for working with children and less fortunate in her community.
