Ever After Farms, one of Central Florida’s favorite U-Pick Blueberry Farms, will be opening for the season on April 10th. Located in the sleepy farming community of Mims, it boasts more than 33,000 bushes which will create upwards of 75,000 lbs of blueberries this year.

This is a great chance for central Florida residents to have a great day out with their family, bask in the serenity and beauty of an Old Florida Farm, and support a wonderful local business. Plus, you can enjoy a tractor-pulled hay wagon ride, meet their Clydesdale horses, Pat and Tom and of course, pick some blueberries!

“Picking blueberries at our Farm has been very popular among families with small children but in years past, the best berries unfortunately were out of kids reach,” said Farm Manager Jenny Cahoon. “We worked with blueberry agricultural experts to find a way to maintain high yields while allowing kids to reach the best berries and we’re proud to announce that it worked. This year, kids can now reach the biggest and juiciest berries on the bushes too! ”

Ever After Farms is open 8AM to 6PM Tuesday through Sunday and the season will extend into the first or second week of June. The best picking is expected to be in April, since that is when it will be fastest and easiest to load up on pounds and pounds of blueberries.

“Thanks to an unusually cold January, an unseasonably warm February, and several cold fronts in March, the berries will be extra sweet and tasty this year,” remarked Jenny.
