Landmark Marina Eyes Future Growth Under Fresh Ownership
ORIENTAL, NC / ACCESSWIRE / May 15, 2018 / “The Sailing Capitol of N.C.” – A staple of the Oriental community for over forty years, Sailcraft Service Marina welcomed its fourth owners, Mike and Jennifer Pawlikowski, this month. The couple, originally from Rumson, New Jersey, anticipate sharing their wealth of knowledge in small business ownership, marina operations, and service management.
While working at his family’s marina, Mike Pawlikowski garnered over twenty years of experience in daily operations, technical expertise, and service management. He currently holds certifications as a Mercury Outboard Technician and a Yamaha Master Technician, and is already looking to expand Sailcraft’s full-service sailing capabilities to include power boats.
“The marina will become a certified Mercury Marina Dealership within the next four to eight months,” Pawlikowski reports.
His extensive marina background also includes experience as yard manager, parts manager, dock master, service and maintenance manager, rental fleet manager, equipment operator, and warranty claims manager.
Although Jennifer does not have a marina background, her professional expertise is rooted in small business management. She previously owned and operated a corporate meeting/event planning business and more recently a fitness studio. Her keen ability to manage time and resources will undoubtedly streamline future operations at Sailcraft.
“We intend to implement new software to make day to day operations more efficient,” she says, “for the benefit of Sailcraft’s clients and its employees.”
In addition to their management, operational, and technical knowledge, Mike and Jennifer are accustomed to providing professional and timely service to clients. They are committed to preserving Sailcraft’s standing within the local community and ensuring its future success.
