Taylor & Ring Awards 2018 Annual Victim Advocate Scholarship to Ashley Johnson
Taylor & Ring awards $5000 for Annual Victim Advocate Scholarship to Ashley Johnson, for the 2018/19 school year.
Los Angeles, CA, United States – May 23, 2018 /MarketersMedia/ —
Taylor & Ring is proud to announce that Ashley Johnson has been selected as the 2018 winner of the Annual Victim Advocate Scholarship. Ms. Johnson has been accepted to Berkeley Law School for the Fall 2018 semester.
“She was and is an excellent candidate,” said partner Dave Ring. “We had a tremendous number of highly qualified candidates to choose from this year, but Ashley’s application really impressed us. She understands how the civil justice system can fail victims of sexual assault, and her goal is to change the laws and statutes that keep the State from doing its job to protect victims. Her passion and drive to help people really speaks to the core values of Taylor & Ring. We expect extraordinary things from her.”
Ashley Johnson formerly worked in an executive position at Skydance Media. In 2017, she left her job and became a volunteer at the Rape Treatment Center at UCLA Medical Center. During her time there, she conducted research into the legislative failings of the California Sexual Offender Registry. Upon graduating law school, she hopes to work with organizations like RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) or the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.
