After receiving more than 1,000 entries for the scholarship, a winner for the $1,000 award has been named by ArchCityGranite.com

“This year’s recipient of the scholarship is Khiara Fowler,” stated Arch City Granite & Marble Inc. spokesperson Govi Reddy. “Khiara attended school at Cardinal Ritter, and has shown an “Incredible Work Ethic,” which is something that was recognized by her school. Along with this recognition, she has achieved impressive grades and has a strong desire to become a Physicist and Aerospace Engineer for the Boeing Company. These were just a few reasons our team felt as though she deserved the award this year.”

The selection process for the $1,000 scholarship consisted of carefully reviewing each application received. While this was a long process, it was well worth the time and effort, according to the staff. After much deliberation, it was decided that Fowler was the most deserving applicant, and she was named as the recipient of this year’s award.

“According to Khiara, she has plans to use the scholarship money to pay for her enrollment into Mizzou, as well as her travel costs associated with relocating to a new city,” continued Reddy. “Khiara also shared with the staff that one of her biggest dreams was to open a non-profit organization and outreach program for students who were focusing on the “STEM” organization or group.”
