Music Critic was founded in 1998, and publishes album reviews, concert and live band reviews, articles about music and instrument guides. This new compilation includes reviews from some of the best-known critics and review sites to create a definitive look at the best Electronic music of the last two decades.

“The last 20 years have been an exciting time for Electronic music, and the new compilation that we’re releasing highlights some of the most significant work in this genre,” said Music Critic’s editor Matt Aird. “Some of these will be the albums that have introduced a lot of Millennials to electronic music, and it includes masterpieces that we hope will help a whole new generation to fall in love with it.”

The majority of the albums are relatively recent releases, withLate Night Tales by David Holmes near the top of the list. There are also some older works that were released during this period, such as the recent release of the 1971-1981 box set from Cluster, and 45:33 by the legendary LCD Soundsystem.

The best reviewed Electronic Albums compilation includes 20 Albums that received scores averaging over 85% from critics in the US, UK and worldwide, and that could be considered essential additions to any serious Electronic fan’s collection.

“The top 20 is a very varied group,” continued Matt Aird for Music Critic. “There will be some artists like Dizzee Rascal and The Streets in our new compilation that most fans will be familiar with, but we’re also highlighting some that may be less well known to the wider audiences such as Lee Gamble, and the London collective DJ Food’s The Search Engine.”
