September 19, 2018 – – Happy Ears Hearing Center, a hearing solutions provider in Mesa, Arizona, has announced that in line with September being National Deaf Awareness Month, they are stressing the need for people to be aware of hearing loss and what can be done about it.

Dr. Shanna Dewsnup, a doctor of audiology and co-founder of Happy Ears Hearing Center, says, “September has been designated as National Deaf Awareness Month and we thought that it was only proper that we stress the need for people to be aware of hearing loss and that there are solutions for those who are burdened with this problem. We have a very strong passion for helping individuals and their families cope with hearing loss and find joy in their success. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone’s face filled with joy when they finally realize there is hope in better hearing.”

Happy Ears Hearing Center in Mesa announces that they offer high-quality hearing aids at the lowest possible prices. Offering the lowest prices for hearing aids is part of the hearing center’s goal of providing quality care. They also aim to provide superior fittings for hearing aids to achieve exceptional results, quality education for patients with hearing loss, access to high-quality hearing technology, and provision of timely hearing care.

Happy Ears Hearing Center has a mission of helping people with hearing loss. Thus, for September, they want to offer the services of a licensed audiologist in Mesa for people who believe they have a problem with their hearing. They offer a free hearing test and a trial period of 45 days. This trial period is that long because they want to give people with hearing problems the opportunity to experience how the quality of their life can be improved with a hearing device. It will also help them determine the level of technology that would be most appropriate with the lifestyle that they have.

Happy Ears Hearing Center offers the most advanced technology from the top hearing aid brands and the audiologists at the hearing center are experts in hearing aid technology, including rechargeable hearing aids, extended wear hearing aids, and implanted hearing aids.

The hearing center also offers repair services for hearing aids from top brands. Repair services will always be provided even if the hearing aid was not bought from them. One of the center’s hearing technicians would be able to perform the repair in-office, or if necessary, they will send the hearing aid to the manufacturer if they are unable to repair it right there.

An important aspect of the services that the hearing center provides is for children because even just a mild hearing loss can have an impact on the ability of the children to understand language and speak. That is why they have the most advanced technology for testing the hearing ability of children as young as six months. Dr. Dewsnup is one of the audiologist who performs these tests for children and she has a unique perspective on this issue because she has a child born with hearing loss and has worn hearing aids since birth.

Happy Ears Hearing Center also offers on-site services for residents of a number of retirement communities in the area. Doctors of Audiology from the hearing center conduct comprehensive audiological examinations, hearing aid care and maintenance, hearing screenings, ear wax removal, hearing aid fittings and follow-up services. Some of the retirement communities being served by the hearing center are the Desert Winds Retirement Community in West Valley and the MorningStar Senior Living at Arrowhead.

Happy Ears Hearing Center was founded in 2014 by Dr. Shanna Dewsnup and her husband Kevin. They have a son who was born with a moderate to severe hearing loss and decided to establish the practice to provide quality hearing care to others.

Dr. Dewsnup is licensed as a Doctor of Audiology and Dispensing Audiologist in the state of Arizona. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a focus in Deaf Education, at Utah State University. And she obtained her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of Cincinnati.
