AGP Agency Presents Bence Szepesi’s Clarinet Recital with Yangmingtian Zhao on Piano at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall

On September 19th, Mr. Bence Szepesi and Mr. Yangmingtian Zhao performed at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall to a sold-out house, offering a well designed program. Produced by AGP Agency New York, the event was an overwhelming success showcasing the immense talent and articulated performances of both artists.
The short opening remarks from Mr. Adam Gyorgy (head of AGP Agency New York) was followed by a warm speech from Ambassador Ferenc Kumin, Consul General of the Republic of Hungary in New York just before the two rising stars appeared on stage.
Starting with Peregi Verbunk, Op.40 by Leo Weiner, the audience could feel immediately that they are participating a special night at Carnegie Hall with the two gifted musicians. Building bridges between cultures, that’s what it was. The Verbunk was a perfect harmony between Hungary’s leading clarinetist and one of China’s most prominent pianists.
Then moving on to the Brahms giant Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E-flat the crowd was mesmerized by the long musical lines of Mr. Szepesi and unparalleled musicianship of Mr. Yangmingtian. After the Brahms Sonata, celebrating Bernstein’s birthday with his Clarinet Sonata and closing the concert with Rossini’s Variations were excellent choices, triggering a well deserved thunderous applause and standing ovation from the packed house.
Mr. Yangmingtian’s piano playing complimented perfectly Mr. Szepesi’s musicianship, virtuosity always served music from both of these talents.
Mr. Szepesi has already achieved considerable recognition in his native Hungary and throughout Europe. He has lectured and performed widely as soloist and as principal clarinetist of the Budafok Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra, and he directs the Budapest Saxophone Quartet, which he founded in 1995.
Mr. Yangmingtian Zhao has appeared in various countries including USA, Hungary, Singapore, Italy, and China. At the tender age of 19, Mr. Yangmingtian formerly made in the news as being the next Lang Lang and Li Yundi by the Chinese media. His solo Carneige Hall debut is to be expected in February 2019.
